Used these two books and passed the test in the first attempt. Spent less than 5 months to prep for the test.
The yellow book covers the basics. I spent 3 days per lesson/quiz. Spent 4 months. The book includes one exam at the end with the same layout as the actual exam. No writing marks on this book.
The green book includes 16 practice exams to help prepare. I used it as if it were a real exam and only went through it once per exam - worth 16 days. No writing marks on this book.
Besides the two books, I used the Kanji Kentei app to quiz myself by sections.
